Located in the beautiful and historic West Riding of Yorkshire, with the Keighley Worth Valley Steam Railway winding up into Bronte Country, Keighley town centre is a great base for shopping, socialising, and soaking up the local culture.

Cliffe Castle Museum

Just outside the town centre, this free museum is located in a beautiful historic building, which has recently undergone major restoration. Alongside the opulent, decorated rooms of the castle, visitors can discover exhibitions on natural history, archaeology and social history, while children can enjoy specialised activities and the large new play area. The surrounding park is also free and provides a beautiful spot to enjoy a picnic or a walk.

Museum of Rail Travel

Keighley has a unique history of rail travel, with The Keighley Worth Valley Railway line having played host to such beloved films as The Railway Children. The Museum of Rail Travel is a treasure trove of vintage carriages and train paraphernalia, which you can climb aboard and explore.

East Riddlesden Hall

Within easy reach of the town, East Riddlesden Hall is a stunning national trust property which makes for a great day out or even a venue for a special occasion. The current 17th century manor house sits on an estate with roots stretching back to the 7th century. Enjoy the house, tearoom, and grounds of this beautiful spot.

Keighley and Worth Valley Railway

This line, running steam and diesel engines through spectacular Yorkshire scenery, is a local jewel. All ages will appreciate the vintage carriages, beautiful views, and the chance to travel back in time with the most elegant means of transport. The line encompasses the villages of Haworth, Oxenhope and Oakworth, access to moorland walks and the world-renowned Bronte Parsonage Museum.

Keighley Picture House Cinema

Opened in 1913, the Keighley Picture House Cinema has been in continuous use as a cinema ever since, and is still showing the latest blockbusters on two screens in the heart of the town. Check their Facebook page for the current listings, and enjoy the old school elegance of a traditional cinema.
