Litter-pickers at the ready, a team of volunteers helped to clean up the streets of Keighley on Friday 3rd March, in an initiative organised by Bradford Council’s Area Co-ordinators.
One of the key areas was the town centre itself, with the BID team and Airedale Centre manager Steve Seymour tackling Church Green, Low Street, Hanover Street and East Parade.
Paul Howard, BID manager, said, “We were happy to be involved with this great initiative, and on the day itself many members of the public stopped to offer their support. Locals are rightly proud of their town centre and schemes like this are essential in showing community spirit.”
The volunteers were supported by extra street-cleaning services and rubbish collection from Bradford Council.
