Superheroes came from far and wide this Saturday to Toyland, Cavendish Street to join them for their annual fundraising day in aid of Superheroes for Kids.
A wide range of popular characters, American vehicles, charity tombolas, face painting, circus acts and even a 50ft high Stay Puft marshmallow man attracted hundreds of visitors.
Susan Sloan, store manager (and Catwoman for the day) said 'The turnout was excellent and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Plus it was all for a great cause. The amount raised exceeded what we have taken with previous superheroes days so we were delighted'
Over £4000 was raised for the charity run by Pedro Machado (Captain America) . The organisation takes toys to the childrens wards at Airedale and other local hospitals to cheer up young patients.
